week ending 4th February
In maths this week we have been using our number bonds to help us to add using tens frames.
E.g.
9 + 4 =
Our tens frames helped us to split the 4 into 1 and 3 so that...
9 + 1 = 10
Then
10 + 3 = 13
In English this week we have been working on our GPS (grammar, punctuation and spelling).
We have been arranging words into alphabetical order at the beginning of the week. Later on in the week we have been changing words to make plurals by deciding whether we need to add 's' or 'es'.
In art this week we were inspired by the work of Wassily Kandinsky to recreate his 'circles' painting. Mrs Corbett challenged us to use our colour mixing skills as we were only given the primary colours to use in order to create it.
