This week the children have been learning about money, to count amounts in pounds and pence. They learnt to convert pounds into pence and to add amounts. You can support your child by encouraging them to find out the total amount in their piggy bank and let them find the correct coins to pay for items in shops. 

In English the children have been learning about verbs and identifying them in our text. The children role-played an escape from the peaceful Pompeii to the moment of the eruption - great acting!

In History we looked at how the Roman's expanded their empire, the children enjoyed learning about the 'tortoise formation' of the shields to protect the soldiers. The children then designed their own fantastic shields.

In Science the children made and recorded their own electrical circuit. They then predicted which circuits would light up and then tested to see if they were correct.
