English

In English this week, we have continued to look at Jack and the Beanstalk and the children have considered Jack's feelings and personality. On Friday, we all wrote a character description for Jack. We thought carefully about what Jack looked like as well as his personality. We used evidence from the story to justify our descriptions.

Maths

We have enjoyed some practical lessons in maths this week measuring capacity. We thought about which containers were empty, nearly empty, half full, nearly full and full.

Computing

While half the class was at Forest School, the other half of the class enjoyed some time on the laptops. We learnt how to switch them on and sign in using a user name and password. Our task was to open a word document, search on the internet for a picture of a Viking longboat and paste into our document. We also typed our name into the document and learned how to use the Caps Lock key and space bar. We then had to save our work into our class folder on the shared computer drive. At times we found this activity tricky and we have learned lots of new skills!
