Week 7 w/c 17.07.23

And here we are the final week of the 2022-2023 academic year - how time flies!
We are all still busy finishing up our curriculum lessons alongside lots of fun activities for both the Year 5 and Year 6 groups of children.

Monday saw a great opportunity for our Year 5s - a STEM workshop sponsored by BAE systems and delivered by a local company, Raising Robots.  The children enjoyed 2 sessions; 6 bricks - which involved a range of activities using 6 duplo bricks and a lego robotics session where the children also learned about the job roles of the 3 staff from BAE who had joined us.  All extremely interesting and great fun!   Thank you to the Smallpiece Trust for bring it all together and inviting us to be part of this exciting initiative to develop children's knowledge and interest in the STEM subjects.  (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

The children have really enjoyed this half term's art - no doubt inspired by Theodore's mum (thank you again!).  This week they have enjoyed using lino cutting to create a tile, which they have then used for printing.
