  • We looked at the posters some of the children had made to advertise the cake sale after school on Wednesday 5th February, we discussed making additional signs for the types of cakes we are going to sell, e.g. dairy free and gluten free. We also discussed pricing of the cakes.
  • Anya wrote a letter to the PTA about the buddy benches.
  • We discussed further fundraising ideas to help raise more money for the buddy benches and the school council, ideas included: a fun run in the Spring, a PJ/non-uniform day and an eco-day.
  • Juliana suggested having a country day at school where children/adults could bring in something from the country they are from or a country they have visited.
  • Sarthak suggested he would like to make a kind poster to put up around school and some cookies for the cake sale.
  • Frank showed me the kindness poster he has made so he is going to put some of those up around school.
  • We talked about some of the suggestions the children in their classes have asked for to help to improve the school, Martha and Anya have got boxes in their classrooms where the children can write suggestions and put them in the box. We looked through all the suggestions in each box and discussed the ones that we have achieved and the ones we can look at achieving in the future. We have all decided that every class should have a school council box – the younger children can be supported by their teachers to either write their suggestion or they can tell their teacher and they can then write it for them.
