Phonics and Reading
Children will begin Reading Practise Sessions in school during the week beginning October 2nd. We will be sending home ‘reading for pleasure’ books only for the first few weeks until we have completed the first block of phonics teaching and finalised reading book levels in line with Little Wandle Assessments.

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend out phonics meeting. We have added lots of the resources mentioned in the meeting in the documents below. Please keep checking back for more information as your child progresses through Nursery and Reception and don't forget to ask Mrs Wollaston or Mrs Cooper if you are unsure of anything.
Don't forget that reading books need to be returned to us on a Monday and will be sent home on a Thursday and please do your very best to keep then in a good condition!
