On Friday, we celebrated 'Black History Month'. We enjoyed two stories 'Coming to England' by Floella Benjamin and 'We sang across the sea' by Benjamin Zephaniah. 

The children thought about what it would be like to journey to England and a new life aboard the Empire Windrush. We identified feelings for those beginning a new life. We enjoyed using the atlases to locate and name countries within the Caribbean and finished our day with some art based on a Caribbean scene.
