Week 6 w/c 10.07.23

St Paul's started this week off with Transition Day !   It was lovely for the children to meet with their new class for the 1st time and begin to get to know each other as a new team.  The children were all very excited to be called Year 5s and Year 6s smiley.  5/6B spent a great morning together and produced some lovely abstract "All About Me" art works that will be on display for them in September when they return from their summer holidays.

On Tuesday morning, the whole school were delighted to watch the final dress rehearsal of the long awaited Year 6 production - Pirates of the Curry Bean.  It was definitely worth the wait - what a spectacular event !  We all enjoyed the story, singing and dancing and there were some fabulous stand out performances - including a giant gorilla!  Parents and carers you are in for a real treat and we hope you enjoy it as much as the staff and children did. Thank you to the Year 6s, and of course, the staff involved for all their hard work - what great memories you have made for yourselves and for those left at St Paul's as you move on up to secondary school.

The inclement weather on Friday certainly didn't stop our Year 6s as they went off to enjoy a day of fun activities at the Leamington Boat Centre.  In the meantime, our Year 5s got out the KNEX sets.  We had a trial run in preparation for a very exciting STEM opportunity next week !  The challenge; work as part of a team to follow instructions and complete a build. Don't forget to check out our class page next week to discover more...
