Week 4
Here is a selection of our learning from this week. Have a super weekend.
English
Everybody has written a persuasive letter to our local M.P. to urge him to address the issue of deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest. The children have worked hard to ensure their letters include many persuasive phrases and clear, informative reasons to support their point of view. We have begun to edit and improve our letters. Next week, we will publish and send these.
Spelling
We have been learning to spell words with the suffix ‘ly’. We thought about the meaning of each word and identified syllable breaks and sound buttons.
Maths
This week, we have been solving problems, subtracting using the column method, finding complements to 100 and estimating answers.
Science
3/4B enjoyed an invertebrate hunt outside on Friday. Classifying and drawing the creatures they found.
