Week 5
DT -The children were challenged to use what they had learnt about trusses to design and build a bridge out of art straws. We then tested how strong the designs were by placing weights onto each bridge. Our strongest designs held an amazing 2kg without buckling!
Field Trip: We enjoyed a lovely walk along the River Leam looking at the river features and the bridge designs along the way. We also spotted Canada Geese & goslings, ducks, swans, and were also reliably informed we could hear Cetti Warblers in the reeds.
