In MATHS this week, we have been working on multiplying unit fractions, non-unit fractions and mixed numbers.  Not only has this provided us with an opportunity to practice our fluency and recall in multiplication and division facts but also to recap our fraction knowledge.

Our work in Art is progressing well - over the past couple of weeks we have sketched and decorated Greek pots; decorating one with a geometric pattern and the other with black in fill work.  We have them produced our own Greek pots in class and planned a design to paint onto them.  This week, we have painted our pots a base orange colour ready to decorate from our plans next week.

We are continuing to use the book Who Let The Gods Out by Maz Evans as a stimulus for our work in ENGLISH.  Over the past couple of weeks we have been looking at the differences between formal and informal writing, putting our skills into action by writing letters.  I cannot wait for parent's evening where you will all be able to look at your child's work, appreciate the efforts they are making and share in their achievements in writing.
