In Maths this week, we have continued to focus on Fractions. We have been converting mixed numbers to improper factions and vice versa and adding, subtracting and multiplying frcations.

In English we continued to focus on Chapter 2, where we experienced the father's journey, his struggles to communicate, find accommodation, a job and food, as well as following the stories of other immigrants.  The children completed their dairy entries and then spent time editing and improving what they had written. The children produced some fantastic pieces of writing which really showed they had put themselves in the shoes of the father and imagined how that first day in a foreign land would have felt.
