Our new topic for Science is plants and the children have set up an investigation to find out what a plant needs to grow. We are testing to see if the cress seeds can grow without light, air, water and soil.  The children came up with ideas for how to test this and asked some excellent scientific questions. 

The children edited their Pompeii stories and then wrote them up ready to read to the children in Year 2. The children read their stories confidently and the children in Year 2 really enjoyed listening to them. Well done everyone. 

In Maths the children have been learning to tell the time to the minute using analogue and digital clocks. They have learnt about am and pm times and 24 hour times. We have looked at Roman numerals on clocks, I have set the children a challenge to see if they can find any Roman numerals on clocks over the weekend.
