1A have once again been working incredibly hard this week. Here is some of the wonderful learning we have been doing:

English

This week, we read our new class story, ‘We’re going on a lion hunt’. The children have completed a number of activities including: making predictions, sequencing a story, using verbs to describe animals’ movements and writing noun phrases.

Maths

This week in maths, we have been comparing and ordering groups of objects and numbers. We have been using language such as ‘greater than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’.

DT

In DT, we began our new unit of work called ‘Sensational Salads’. We began to think about where our food grows and enjoyed reading a poem about fluffy cauliflowers!
