Escape from Pompeii
In English the children have been reading the book 'Escape from Pompeii'. Here they are reenacting some of the scenes from the book, and using their drama skills to perform what it would be like to be threatened by an erupting volcano!
Escape from Pompeii continued...
We used a parachute to represent the stages of a volcanic eruption, from the very first rumbles, then the explosion and the flowing of lava. At the end, we imagined ourselves in Pompeii and under the ash by going inside the parachute and feeling smothered by the hot air.
