week ending 21st January

Have you seen a polar bear roaming around Leamington?!?

We've had a very exciting time this week and I'm sure the children would agree, the highlight being a polar bear hunt in the hall! Using our class text 'We're going on a lion hunt' as a base, the children came across some obstacles including a snow storm and ice tunnel before reaching a mysterious ice cave complete with polar bears inside! We're excited to use our experience to help us write our very own story next week.

R.E.

We have been continuing our work about our topic of  'Gospel' and have been exploring the story of Matthew, a tax collector, who was invited to join Jesus. The children enjoyed retelling the story through roleplay.

Reading for pleasure

We've been enjoying taking time in our busy timetable to share and enjoy books!

PE-gymnastics:

We are all thoroughly enjoying our new gymnastics lessons. The children will be aiming to produce a sequence of flowing gymnastic elements, in unison with their partner. It is fantastic to listen to them all working together and practising the different movements. Below are a few we've tried so far.
