We are now a few weeks into term and the class have settled well. Here are a few bits of general information to help you to know what your child will need and when.
PE will continue to take place on a Monday and Wednesday up until October half term. Please ensure children are suitably dressed for the weather conditions. Jumpers and joggers/leggings are a good idea as the weather gets colder, as we are likely to be outside for PE whenever we can.
Forest school will be running every Tuesday until the end of this half term. This is just for the Year 4 children in our class at the moment. The year 3 children will have their turn later in the year. Year 4 children will need to be suitably dressed in old, warm clothing. Please bring wellingtons if you have them. They will also need a waterproof coat.
All children have now received their updates Spelling Shed log on codes. Spellings will be set each Friday to be tested on the following Friday.
Reading should be taking place daily both in school and at home. Children are free to change their books when they have finished the one they are reading. This can be done on any day. We do not have specific 'book changing days' as they may have had before. We do ask that, whenever possible, the children have read some of the book to an adult before changing it.
All children have also now received their Mathletics log on codes. Maths homework will now be set on Mathletics weekly. This can be completed on a computer or a tablet/phone. Please let us know if you are having issues accessing this. Homework will be set on a Monday to be completed by the following Monday. This will link closely to the area of maths we have been studying that week in school. This will help to reinforce your child's learning.
Any questions, please just ask. Our email addresses are below. However, we are always happy to have a brief chat with you when you collect your child from school.
