Maths:

This week, Miss van Hasselt has been teaching the children about volume and capacity. Friday, everyone enjoyed some outdoor learning.

History:

Lots of great talk and discussion on our subject of trains through history. The children enjoying looking at pictures of different trains. Some old, some new, some long, some rather strange. In our learning we went right back to George Stephenson's Rocket and really thought about how trains made a difference to life in the 19th Century and still do now, current rail issues aside. Everyone is improving on their skills to order events in chronological order.

(BTW I know I spelt Stephenson wrong for the children's work.)

Everyone is enjoying learning about pointillism. This week using paint.
