This week we have been learning about Anti-Bullying week, where the children learnt about the importance of kindness and the impact of 'one kind word.' The children came up with brilliant ideas of how to show kindness to each other.

In English we looked at direct speech in the story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the children then wrote their own direct speech using the correct punctuation.

In Geography the children learnt about the chocolate trade and how fairtrade ensures cocoa bean farmers get a larger proportion of the  money earnt from chocolate production. I set the children the task of finding packaging at home that shows the fairtrade symbol and to bring the packaging into school.
