Week 3

Friday 24th June

This week's sunny weather has enabled us to spend plenty of time outside , including in PE. One of our lessons introduced T-Ball to the children, a form of Rounders.

I have been particularly proud of all of the children this week for completing their Times Table Tests online. This is the first year the Year 4 test has been statutory for all pupils. Thank you for your support in helping your children learn their tables at home to support their work in school.

In lessons this week we have written descriptive list poems about storms, in maths we have begun a unit on time as well as trying some problem solving and reasoning activities. In Science we completed our Electricity unit by carrying out an investigation. In History we looked at Roman Buildings and monuments, designing posters about Hadrian's Wall. Today we have had a DT day where we have designed posters with moving mechanisms on the theme of recycling.

Our Values certificate winner this week was Evie who demonstrates all of our school values consistently in everything she does in school.
