Week 5
Hello Year 5s from 5/6A and 5/6 B!
It has been lovely spending the week together whilst the Year 6s are away on their residential in Wales.
Our work this week has been based around the book 'Blodin The Beast' by Michael Morpurgo. We have used drama and art work to develop our understanding of the characters and settings and to inspire our descriptive writing.
In Drama we used our bodies to create the shape and form of Blodin the Beast.
The children used their sketching skills to draw their own beast and then used a thesaurus to find interesting adjectives to describe its features.
Art - we learnt about mixing primary colours to create secondary and tertiary colours
