Week 7

Friday 22nd October

Well what a half term it has been ! Thankfully the majority of the class have been in school this week to enjoy the activities we have completed. On Tuesday we celebrated Black History Month the theme of which this year is "Proud to be". We looked at significant black people from history and present day and read the book Sulwe (see link below to watch again) which is a lovely book about a little girl who learns to be proud to be herself just as she is.  In the afternoon we studied the the famous black artist Jean-Michel Basquait and created our own self portraits in the style of his work.

Today we made our own healthy pizzas, ensuring we included a protein and some vegetables. We even made our own pizza dough for the bases.

Our trophy winners for this half term are:

Maths : Elspeth

Writing: Freddie

Reading: Lily-May

We done to all of 4C on an excellent term despite many of us having to isolate.

Thank you so much to all of you for the very kind gift, it was very thoughtful of you and the biscuits helped me get through Parents' Evening this week.

I hope you all have a restful and also fun half term holiday.
