What a busy week we have had in 1A! Nativity rehearsals are in full swing and the children's singing is sounding brilliant! Costume letters went out last week as we wanted to give you plenty of notice. We will let you know when the children need to bring in their costumes, rest assured there is no rush! If there are any problems sourcing a costume, please just let us know!
On Wednesday, we celebrated 'No Pen's Day' an annual day where schools and colleges celebrate speaking, listening and language. We used this day, as an opportunity to use drama in our English lesson. Children got in role as Lila from our book 'Lila and the secret of the Rain' whilst others became news reporters. Children used 'who', 'what', 'where', 'why' and 'how' questions to find out more about the amazing event of Lila saving her village.
