Week 3 - w/c 13.03.23

Well, it has certainly been a week of celebrations!  We celebrated Young Carers Action Day on Monday and Comic Relief and St Patrick's Day on Friday.  The children have also been busy creating for a certain celebration this coming Sunday...

We joined the live broadcast by Darcey Bussell on St Patrick's Day and enjoyed an afternoon of dancing the Charleston, Bhangra, 70s disco and, of course, some Irish dancing to end the session.  Great fun was had by all !

St Patrick's Day fun...

The Year 6s plus Jude and Theodore are currently enjoying our DT topic considering what make a nutritional salad.  They had a great session making and tasting 4 types of salad; Royal Rice, Pleasing Pasta, Vegetable couscous and Potato salad.  They followed up by considering each salad's nutritional value in accordance to the food groups on the Eat Well Plate.  They then went on to design their own salad - which I am sure they will have fun making next week !

PLEASE REMEMBER A TUB FOR MONDAY 20TH MARCH TO TAKE YOUR SALADS HOME

Our Geography topic this half term is Marvellous Mountains.  So far we have investigated, named and labelled features of mountains, located and named the Mountain Ranges around the world and found out how fold mountains are formed.  Enjoy looking at our work activities below...
