week 3

We have had a busy week, the children have worked hard learning how to add and subtract three digit and one digit numbers. We worked on partitioning and crossing ten. The children used number lines and base ten to support their learning.

In English we started our new book Stone Age Boy, the children asked questions about the text and used a thesaurus to find synonyms. We looked at adverbials of time and place and identified them in the text.

In History we learnt about inventions during the Stone Age, in particular, the use of deer antlers to make sewing needles.

Well done to all the children who put themselves forward for the School Council, everyone spoke confidently and shared their super ideas, the children listened and then voted. This was an excellent demonstration of democracy in action. Congratulations to Lara our School Council representative.
