Week 6 w/c 06.02.23

Next week, we are hoping to write our own play scripts based on our focus text Who Let the Gods Out.  So in one session this week, we acted out a Greek play called Persephone written by Julia Donaldson and then continued our lessons looking at the features of scripts.

In our RE lessons we have been  investigating the question What would Jesus do? through looking at the Gospels.  Recently, we watched a video about the Sermon on the Mount, discussing what God had said and then what Jesus would do in certain situations.  We learned that for Christians, the Gospels form a key part in how they live their lives through being; humble, authentic, bold, hopeful and grateful.  We worked with a partner to make a poster to show how these key messages can influence our lives today.  We later discussed what our Big Frieze could teach us about the Gospel.

In PE this half term we have completed a unit of work on Gymnastics.  On Friday we perfected our routines working with a partner.  We had to show a start position, a jump, a roll, an individual balance and a partner balance, travelling and finally a finish position.  We then performed our routines to each other.
