This week, we started our new class text, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by William Shakespeare. We began by researching information about William Shakespeare and wrote a biography for him. We have enjoyed reading and watching some of the play and have written character descriptions for Oberon and Puck. We have also started to look at the play script for our own performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and have practised some of the songs. The children are already sounding magnificent and have been hugely enthusiastic.

Maths

We have been learning to multiply and divide by 10 and 100 and have identified related multiplication and division facts for example, 3 x 4 = 12, 3 x 40 = 120, 120 ÷4 = 30.
