Spring 1

You may have heard that the children ventured out of school to the Arctic region and the North Pole!

The children have enjoyed reading " We're going on a lion hunt" so much, that we  decided to change the setting from Africa to the Arctic region. They will now be writing their own book, titled, "We're going on a polar bear hunt".  To help everyone generate vocabulary, the studio was transformed into a cold, icy environment. They experienced tunnels, caves, snow and ice. Great fun!

DT cooking- Year 2:

It was salad tasting day today! Last week we learnt about root vegetables. The children tried beetroot salad, potato salad, coleslaw and couscous salad. Everyone had a go, using their senses to smell, see and taste. We'll be making the most popular salad at the end of half term.
