Welcome back!

The children have settled quickly into school routines again and have embraced lots if new learning this week. Here is a selection of some of the learning we have completed:

English 

We have started a new unit of work using the story of the 'Egyptian Cinderella' by Shirley Climo. This week, the children have compared this version with the traditional story, used thesauruses to improve sentences and written comparative sentences. 

Maths

We have been rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. 

R.E. 

We have begun a new unit of learning, People of God. In our first lesson, we identified that the Bible was a collection of books and recognised that it is organised into an Old and New Testament. We used book, chapter and verse references to find information.
