Jack and the Beanstalk

We have all explored colour mixing with primary coloured powder paints to make a very long beanstalk that is now growwing through the EYFS environment. We then colour mixed shades of blue for the sky and red for the castle as well as other colours to complete a Jack and the beanstalk story scene.

The children have used their developing mark making skills to explore crayons and pastes and make representations of the plants that are growing in EYFS with some fantastic results with their observational drawing skills.

They have developed their fine motor skills by trying to pick up beans with tweezers which is tricky for the adults too.

We have also planted bean seeds and hope to measure our own beanstalks soon!
