This week, we began our new story, 'The Polar Express'. We have looked closely at some of the illustrations from the story and created speech bubbles for characters. On Friday, we learned how to use inverted commas to show direct speech and wrote our own speech within our books. We tried to use lots of synonyms for 'said'.
History
We have been learning about significant people from history during our 'Black Pioneers' topic. This week, we researched information about Mary Seacole, created fact files and compared her experiences to Florence Nightingale.
