Week 7

Friday 21st October

Well it's been a busy final week of this half term, finishing our various topics ready to start new after half term. We ended the week with a day celebrating Black History Month and recognised the national event "Show Racism the Red Card". In Year 4 we looked at why both events are recognised by looking at the story of the Windrush Generation. We read 2 picture books (see below) and also looked at the geography of the Caribbean through mapwork and art. The children now have a good understanding of how the Windrush generation were treated and also that Racism should not be tolerated. They have worked extremely hard throughout this term and thoroughly deserve a rest over half term.

Have a great holiday!
