Welcome back!

Everyone has worked very hard during our first week back after the half term break.

Maths

This week, we have been learning to tell the time. Our lessons began with a review of previous learning, telling the time to the hour, half hour and quarter past and quarter to. We have begun to look at telling the time to five minutes and next week will move on to one minute. We have looked at times on analogue, digital and 24-hour clocks. 

DT

In DT, we have been designing and making alien stuffed toys. Everybody has shown real perseverance and patience this week as they practised their sewing skills. There are a few more toys to finish before they can make their way home!

RE

We have started a new unit of work, 'Incarnation'. Today, we thought about the significance of water as a symbol in Christianity. As a class, we identified the many different uses of water and then tried to reduce these down to the most important. We also discussed stories from the Bible where water is significant.
