We hope you like the wreaths we made in RE. We looked at how other countries celebrate Advent and Christmas. I think the children were rather taken with the German tradition on the eve of  St Nicholas' Day on 6th December. Children leave shoes outside their rooms before they go to sleep and if St Nicholas has visited, he would have filled them with chocolate. Wise children leave a wellington boot!

Finally, we thought about others who may be less fortunate then ourselves at Christmas time and thought about people and things we are thankful for. Whilst making paper chains, we write a few words of thanks on many of the links.
