It has been a short but busy first week back.

We have started to look at our new text, ‘The Great Kapok Tree’, by Lynne Cherry. We have started to explore the setting of our story, the Amazon Rainforest, and have used some texts within shared reading to further our understanding of this environment.

History

We learned about another significant person, Rosa Parks. We discussed Rosa’s protests against segregation in America and designed our own protest banners.
