Poetry Basket 

Every day all children in EYFS join in with our poetry basket rhyme and the accompanying actions. Please encourage your child to teach you the rhyme below.

Falling Apples

Here is a tree with its leaves so green.

Here are the apples that hang between.

When the wind blows, the apples will fall.

And this is the basket to catch them all

This week we have begun to look at some of the items in the Wonderbox and some of the children have used magnifying glasses to have a good look and draw or paint some of the items. We will carry on with this next week.

In R.E. This week we met Tom and Tessa. They are  Christian children who go to church and help EYFS find out about what Christian’s believe, how they worship God, the things that they celebrate and what it means to them to grow up as a Christian. This is part of our Understanding Christianity RE scheme of work and currently we are working on the Creation unit. 
This week we talked about Creation and the sea creatures that Christians believe God created. EYFS children created some of their own jellyfish in the Creative Studio and enjoyed looking at each other’s creations.
