Week 6 w/e 08.04.22

This week, it was lovely to finally be able to attend church as a whole school.  And what a spectacle the children were sporting their Easter bonnets - I am sure the local residents were happy to see this return to normality as we passed by their windows.  I was so proud of Viena, Sofia and Anya as they confidently and clearly delivered their part of the Easter readings - very well done and thank you.

Due to the windy conditions, we held our Easter Bonnet parade once we were back inside school.  It was wonderful to see all the effort the children had gone to and we had some fabulous creations.  Enjoy them all in the picture below.

And the winner of the Easter Bonnet parade, as chosen by Mrs Newell, was .....

Today in PE, we used our new school orienteering maps and challenges to great success.  The children had to use the key to understand the maps then go to a station (red circle) and follow the PE activity. They all loved it!   The resources are below to give you a test of the maps and control points - 2C found 5 control points as this was their 1st attempt but are looking forward to a trickier challenge next time!   As we move through school, the different stations are also used for English, maths and curriculum learning challenges. It all keeps our learning active and fun!

A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful PTA and parent helpers for putting on an Easter Fair on Friday after school. The event was well attended and enjoyed by all - it was great to get together for some fun and chatter!

Wishing you all a restful Easter break !  Enjoy the holiday and we'll look forward to welcoming you back on 25th April.
