This week we have really got into the flow of the new term as we have been completing work in all areas of the curriculum, as well as going swimming for the first time. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and their behaviour was outstanding. 

Some of our learning this week included: 

In English we have continued working on the Oliver Jeffers book "What We'll Build" which involved looking at what kind of future we would build in a post-Covid world. We completed art work showing what our futures could involve. We also designed posters for positive slogans for our school.

In Maths this week we have continued looking at Place Value up to 4 digit numbers, as well as rounding to the nearest 10 and 100.

Other curriculum subjects included a tour around the school looking at how various forms of rock has been used (Science), looking at Stone Age artefacts to decide what they are and what they might be used for (history), and the Creation Story (RE). 

We were also fortunate enough to have our first phase assembly since before Covid led by Mr Hawkins. It was great to be able to finally worship and sing together.
