Week Beginning 18th October

Black History Month

We celebrated Black History Month with a special day today (Friday) in EYFS. The children learned about Rosa Parks, made jewellery and other items, shared pictures books and other stories.

 Home Learning

To support your  Reception child with their Phonics and Maths at home this week please click on the information below.

Don't forget to encourage your child (Nursery or Reception) to teach you the actions to the Poetry Basket rhyme this week.

Reception Phonics

This week we are revising and recapping all the phonics sounds that we have learned so far.

These are:

s, a, t, p, m, n, d

To support your child you can look at the phonics videos over the past few weeks. In school we will be doing lots of blending and segmenting activities and having a go at forming our letters on white boards and on paper.

Reception Maths

This week we are comparing amounts of up to three items. You could make collections of up to three things from around the house or Autumn items from a walk. You could  do groups of three actions for example three jumps, hops or clap three times.
