Week ending 18.3.22
English
This week in English we have been looking at the suffixes -ing and -ed. We have played lots of games matching root words to a suffix and even had a scavenger hunt around the Studio. This knowledge will help us with our accurate spelling.
Maths
This week we have continued our work on numbers to 50 by looking at more and less than and sequencing numbers from smallest to largest.
Science
As part of Science Week we loved having older children from Year 3 visit our classroom. They told us all about Mars and what the planet is like. Using this information, we applied it to our current learning of materials and designed a spacesuit for an astronaut visiting Mars. We thought about what materials would be suitable for a cold, rocky habitat like Mars.
