We have had a fantastic week, the children all competed in our sports day with enthusiasm, joy and good sportsmanship. 

As part of our Day of the African Child, the children learnt how 258 million children are out-of-school and that UNESCO estimates that the world must recruit 69 million more teachers if all children are to receive a good quality education by 2030. We looked at the causes, the effects and possible solutions and made an 'Issue Tree' which we are sending to our MP Matt Western. 

In History the children used sources to learn about Boudica and how she resisted the Romans, we then did 'hot seating' asking questions and answering them from Boudica's point of view.
