W/E 17/09/21
In ENGLISH we have begun to look at the book LEAF MAN by Lois Ehlert. In the 1st double spread, we discovered that whilst he had no travel plans the wind had blown Leaf Man away! We went in search of him in our field ... and came back with lots of wonderful Leaf Men and Women 
We then used our phonics skills to label our Leaf People, making the labels more interesting by using noun phrases. Some of the children rose to the challenge of using expanded noun phrases too - very impressive! We also wrote a caption to go alongside our creations 
IN PE, we have started our Playground Athletics. The whole school are undertaking this unit of work and the children's times, scores and measurements are going to be recorded so that House Trophies can be awarded to each phase at the end of the half term (thank you Mrs Newbold in advance!).
In ART, the children's skills are really progressing well. This half term we are focusing on using a range of pencils to create tome and texture. Everybody is working hard and enjoying the outcome !
