What a wonderful sunny start to the school year we've had! We've had a lovely first week back in school. The children have settled incredibly well with lots of smiley, happy faces! The adults have loved getting to know them and the children have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with each other and telling them all about their summer holidays.
To start the year off, the whole school are reading the book 'What we'll build' by Oliver Jeffers. We looked at tools and thought about all the things we would like to build. We then had lots of fun inside and outside building with different materials such as megablocks, cups, stickle bricks, sticks and blue tac and large wooden blocks.
In maths, we have focused on sorting. We talked about how we could sort each other using categories such as eye colour, clothing, boys/girls and then we went on to sort a selection of objects.
