This week we have read an alternative version of Jack and the Beanstalk called ‘Jack and the Baked Beanstalk’. We compared the two versions of the story and retold the alternative ending. We have begun to plan our own alternative ending to the story.

We are currently learning about Sikhism within class. This week we identified the Gurdwara as the special place of worship in the Sikh faith. We explored some images of Gurdwaras and thought about the three things you should do before entering the holy building: remove shoes, cover heads and wash hands. We then identified some of the features of the Gurdwara.
