PE
Summer 2
PE will be on a Friday.
2C will be continuing Athletics with myself. We have now moved on to Netball (24th June).
Children can continue to come to school in their PE kits on that day.
Book Bags
Every Wednesday, children will be given three reading books based on the phonics levels they are working on. Please return the books in their book bag on the following Monday morning. We are grateful for weekly parent comments in their reading diaries, including books they are reading from home.

What We'll Be Enjoying During The Summer Term
English:
We will be using a a range of books this term to explore narrative, non-fiction and poetry.
We will begin by looking at Traditional Tales and their features and story language. It would be wonderful if you could support us by reading these types of stories at home with your children. We often do not reveal the title and/or front cover of a book straight away to enable us to incorporate teaching points such as prediction, sequencing and questioning. So our 1st text will remain a surprise for the time being ! A small clue to get you thinking - a common theme running through some of our work during this term is plants and discoveries!
In the 2nd half term we will have more of a space theme to our book, which also incorporates some of our school values.

We will be following the White Rose scheme for maths this year. https://whiterosemaths.com/
