week ending 17th June
Wow! What an exciting week we have had in 1A. We have enjoyed both ‘Day of the African Child 2022’ and Sports Day.
English
We began the week making egg and cress sandwiches within class. Then, we thought about planning a set of instructions about how to make them. We played a game of ‘Simon says….’ using adverbs for example ‘Simon says tap your head slowly.’
Maths
We have been doubling this week using a range of practical and written activities and some outdoor games.

We enjoyed a live story telling session led by Usifa Jalloh. Non-Forest School children also took part in some joyful dancing and singing.
