week 5

The children have written their own Stone Age narratives. We focused on punctuation, using adjectives and time adverbials. Everyone did a great job - well done.

In Maths we have been learning to add and subtract 2 digit numbers from 3 digit numbers using the columnar method. The children learnt to exchange and crossing 10 or 100.

In History we were learning about the Stone Age settlement Skara Brae, we looked at the features of the home and discussed whether we would have liked to have a stone bed!

In P.E we were practising the push throw and jumping over hurdles.

In PSHE we have been doing the Taking Care programme which helps children learn to keep themselves safe. We talked about who children could talk to if they feel worried or sad, selecting adults who will listen and believe them. The children have brought home a taking care card which they can give to someone they have chosen to be in their network.
