Allergy Advice
This year we have children with dairy allergies with us.
Please do not be offended if we support your child to get changed due to spillages of food or if we ask your child to change on arrival at the start of their day or session with us.
For this reason a full change of clothes must always left on your child's peg and remain in school. (this does not have to be school uniform)
We also have children with wheat allergies.
No Nuts
We continue to be a 'no nut environment' If you require advice on things to put in lunch boxes please feel free to speak to a member of the EYFS team.
Please do not eat snacks in our playground to help keep children safe from risks
Celebrating Birthdays
We know that children in EYFS love to celebrate their birthdays and some families would like to send in treats for the children. We kindly ask that these these are healthy items such as fruit rather than sweets or chocolate. Please note that there is no obligation for anyone to bring in anything on their birthday
Our Learning Across the Year in EYFS (Nursery and Reception)
P.E.
P.E. is on Thursday afternoons for all Reception children and all Nursery children who attend on a Thursday afternoon. Al children including those in Nursery will need to wear their 'house colour' P.E. top and black P.E. bottoms. Please send your child to school on a Thursday in their P.E. kit as they do not get changed in school.
Autumn 1 in EYFS
This half term our theme is: I wonder what makes me so special.
We are focussing on settling the children in to a new Early Years setting, meeting new children and adults as well as getting used to new routines.
Nursery and Reception will begin their Little Wandle Phonics journey which starts with Rhyme Time for Nursery and Reception, Love of Reading for Nursery and Phonics and Reading Practice for Reception.
Autumn 2
This half term our theme is 'What is a special time for me and my family?'
We are thinking about the way people celebrate at this time of the year as we begin to look forward to Christmas.
We are also learning about St Andrew's Day at the end of November.
