Week ending 21.7.2023

Thank you for all the kind gifts you have given to the 1/2 team. We have thoroughly enjoyed reading all the cards and finding out what all the children have enjoyed this year. It's been a great year. We will be following everyone from 1/2B in their next classes to see how they progress in their school life at St Paul's. We feel it's a special school, welcoming children and adults from all walks of life. Thank you for making it a fabulous place for us to work in.

We have finished our week writing about the life of William Shakespeare. I attach a link that helped us form the basis of our report.

In maths we continued to learn to tell the time. By the end of KS1, children are expected to tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times. We have made a good start to this but if I can encourage any home learning, please continue to help your child to tell the time.

Geography: Our Local Area:

We learnt about the different types of houses we live in. We are looking forward to walking to church on Thursday and spotting flats, terraced, semi-detached and detached houses.

We enjoyed making our own local area including a full range of houses and facilities.
