Week 5
This week in R.E. we have been learning about the Hindu celebration of Diwali. The children listened to the story of Rama and Sita and then made their own silhouette puppets. The children retold the story using their puppets.
The children learnt about St Andrew's Day and made beautiful sketches of thistles.
In Maths we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. The children have learnt terms including quadrilateral, tetrahedron, horizontal, vertical and right angles. The children learnt the names and properties of the shapes and worked collaboratively to make 3D shapes using straws and blutac.
